Terms of service

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Ruby & Dot.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.rubyanddotdesigns.com and purchases made through our online store.

Ruby & Dot ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent jewelry brand based in Israel, specializing in made-to-order jewelry, personalized pieces, and bespoke designs.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, subject to your mandatory rights under applicable law.

1. Use of Our Website

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase.

You agree to use our website lawfully and not engage in activities that may damage, interfere with, or compromise its operation.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where reasonably necessary, including suspected fraudulent transactions, subject to applicable law.

2. Our Jewelry

Ruby & Dot offers jewelry crafted using materials including:

  • Solid 14K gold in yellow, white, and rose gold.
  • Sterling silver.
  • Gold vermeil, featuring 3-micron gold plating over sterling silver, where specified.
  • Natural gemstones, including treated gemstones where disclosed.
  • Laboratory-grown and natural diamonds, as specified in individual product descriptions.

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, measurements, and specifications are accurate.

However, slight variations may occur due to lighting, screen settings, hand-finishing, manufacturing processes, and the natural characteristics of gemstones.

Product photography, digital renderings, and lifestyle imagery are intended to illustrate the design. Unless expressly stated otherwise, dimensions, stone weights, and measurements are approximate.

Natural gemstones may display variations in color, inclusions, and other characteristics that make each stone unique.

3. Made-to-Order & Custom Jewelry

Many Ruby & Dot pieces are individually produced after an order is placed.

Our jewelry falls into three general categories:

  • Standard Made-to-Order Jewelry: Existing Ruby & Dot designs manufactured following purchase.
  • Personalized Jewelry: Pieces featuring customer-selected elements such as engraving, individual gemstone combinations, or other personalized specifications.
  • Bespoke Jewelry: Designs developed specifically for an individual customer through private consultation.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing and confirming all submitted customization details, including names, spelling, measurements, engraving, and gemstone selections.

Where design approval is required, production will begin following confirmation of the agreed specifications.

Changes requested after production begins may not be possible. Additional charges may apply where agreed and permitted by law.

Custom design fees, deposits, payment arrangements, and any special conditions will be communicated before an order is confirmed.

Return and cancellation eligibility is determined by the nature of the product and applicable consumer protection legislation.

4. Pricing & Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on our website or selected at checkout.

Prices may change without notice. Confirmed orders will not be affected by subsequent price changes unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors. Where an error affects an existing order, we will contact the customer and offer the appropriate options in accordance with applicable law.

Payment must be completed through one of the approved payment methods available at checkout.

Our prices are final and no Israeli VAT is charged. Shipping is shown at checkout. Customs duties, import taxes and other charges imposed by the destination country are not included in our prices, are not collected by Ruby & Dot at checkout, and are the customer's responsibility.

Your bank or payment provider may apply additional currency conversion or foreign transaction fees.

5. Order Confirmation

Once an order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

If a material, gemstone, or component becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss suitable alternatives, revised timelines, or cancellation and refund options.

We will not substitute materially different specifications without your approval.

6. Production & Delivery

Production times vary depending on the product, materials, and level of customization.

The estimated production time for each piece will be displayed on its product page or communicated before purchase.

Production time and shipping time are separate.

Our full Shipping, Returns & Cancellations Policy forms part of these Terms.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith. Your statutory rights regarding late or failed delivery remain unaffected.

7. Returns & Cancellations

Ruby & Dot follows the applicable statutory cancellation and refund requirements and does not offer an additional general change-of-mind return period.

Eligible purchases may be cancelled within the periods and subject to the conditions established by applicable consumer protection legislation.

Products manufactured specifically to an individual customer's requirements may be excluded from ordinary change-of-mind cancellation rights where permitted by law.

Describing a product as made to order does not, by itself, determine whether a statutory cancellation exception applies.

Nothing in this policy limits rights relating to defective products, incorrect items, or material non-conformity.

Please consult our separate Shipping, Returns & Cancellations Policy for full details and cancellation instructions.

8. Jewelry Warranty

Ruby & Dot provides a voluntary limited manufacturing warranty, beginning on the date of delivery: twelve months for solid 14K gold jewelry, and six months for sterling silver and gold vermeil jewelry.

The warranty covers eligible defects in materials or craftsmanship arising under normal and appropriate use.

It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, normal wear and tear, or the gradual wearing of plated finishes through ordinary use.

Our Jewelry Warranty & Care Policy provides further information about coverage, exclusions, and warranty claims.

This voluntary warranty does not replace or restrict any mandatory consumer rights.

9. Ring Sizing & Alterations

Customers are responsible for selecting their preferred ring size.

We recommend professional sizing before purchasing.

Not all designs can be resized. Where resizing is possible, additional costs may apply and will be communicated before any work begins.

Incorrect customer-selected sizing does not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect. This does not affect your rights if we supply a size different from the confirmed order.

10. Intellectual Property

All original Ruby & Dot content, including jewelry designs, photographs, renderings, logos, branding, illustrations, website copy, and graphics, is owned by Ruby & Dot or used with permission.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written authorization.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, commissioning or purchasing a bespoke design does not transfer intellectual property rights in the underlying design.

Ruby & Dot may retain design files, sketches, CAD models, and production specifications developed during the design process, subject to any agreed confidentiality or exclusivity arrangements.

11. Privacy

We respect your privacy.

Personal information collected through our website, checkout, customer service, and marketing activities is processed in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

Our website may use third-party providers, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping partners, and email marketing services.

Marketing communications are sent in accordance with applicable consent and electronic marketing requirements.

Customers may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link provided in those communications.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ruby & Dot shall not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from improper use, handling, or care of purchased products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in the customer's country of residence.

Any dispute shall be handled by a court or competent authority having jurisdiction under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Any revised version will be published on our website with its effective date.

Confirmed purchases remain subject to the terms applicable when the order was placed, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
